Who you deal with
Tazqen is made by an independent developer in Slovenia, a private person rather than a company. In these terms, “we” means Tazqen's developer and “you” means the person who uses Tazqen. You reach us at support@tazqen.com.
We sell Tazqen through Polar (Polar Software, Inc.) as merchant of record. Polar is the seller of your order: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipts and keeps your card details. Polar's buyer terms cover the purchase itself. These terms cover Tazqen, your account and your subscription.
Your subscription
- Tazqen costs $15 a month, in US dollars, plus any tax for your country. The price Polar shows at checkout is the one you pay.
- There is no trial. You pay from the first day, and the subscription renews every month until you cancel.
- Cancel any time in Tazqen, under Settings → Tazqen account → Manage subscription. Tazqen keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, and you are not charged again.
- If a payment fails, Polar tries again for 7 days and Tazqen keeps working meanwhile. If the payment still fails, the subscription ends.
- If the price changes, we email you at least 30 days before. The new price applies from your first renewal after that, and you can cancel before it does.
- Discount codes are entered on Polar's payment page.
- Refunds are explained on the refunds page.
Your account
You need a Tazqen account to use Tazqen, and the subscription belongs to that account. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens in your account. You must be at least 18, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
Tazqen checks your subscription when it starts and every six hours while it runs. Without an internet connection it keeps opening for 7 days after the last check.
You can delete your account any time in Tazqen, under Settings → Tazqen account. Deleting it ends the subscription at once, with no further charges. Your projects and files on your PC stay where they are.
What Tazqen is
Tazqen is a Windows app that runs coding agents side by side on your PC. The agents, such as Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode, are made by other companies. You install them and use them with your own accounts, and their terms and prices apply. Tazqen sells no AI usage.
AI agents make mistakes. They can change or delete files and run commands in the folders you open in Tazqen. Review their work, use version control and keep backups. The code and content you make with Tazqen are yours, and so is the responsibility for them.
Tazqen is in alpha. It changes often, features may come and go, and you may find bugs. Updates arrive through the app.
Fair use
- Don't use Tazqen to break the law or to harm other people or their systems.
- Don't attack, overload or try to get around Tazqen's sign-in, payment service or phone link.
- Don't sell or share access to your account.
Licences
The Tazqen app, and the open-source parts it includes, come with their own licence notices, which the installer puts in Tazqen's folder on your PC. These terms add the rules for your account and your subscription.
If something goes wrong
We build Tazqen with care, but we can't promise it will always be free of bugs or work with every PC, agent or project. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Tazqen in the 12 months before the claim.
None of this limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life, body or health, or anything else the law does not let us limit. If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you, including your rights when Tazqen doesn't work as described.
Ending
You can stop using Tazqen at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms, and we tell you why when we can. If we ever stop offering Tazqen, we tell you at least 30 days before and stop charging.
Changes to these terms
We post changes on this page and update the date at the top. For changes that matter to subscribers, we email you at least 30 days before they apply, and you can cancel before they do.
Law
Slovenian law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
